AVM Trend: The Spectrum of Nature Meets Personal Care
April 10, 2026Shaped by the creative vision of the brand’s Co-Founder and Creative Director Betül Ünver, which guides every process from product development to packaging design and from R&D to marketing, the brand draws attention with its clean ingredients and sustainability goals that appeal to conscious consumers, especially Gen Z.
As the beauty and personal care industry transforms with the return to nature and the rise of clean ingredients, a brand-new brand story is being written, extending from Türkiye to the world. Founded on Betül Ünver’s discovery of Europe’s innovative approach to cosmetics during export-focused market research (Ünver is a graduate of Sabancı University’s Management Sciences program), Spectra places innovation and naturalness at the heart of personal care.
Aiming to develop products that are carefully formulated in the R&D kitchen, nature-inspired and vegan, instead of ordinary, low-value-added ones, the brand takes its name from the “spectrum,” which contains all the colors of light, and from the magical world of chemistry.
“Europe Defined Our Real Vision”
Co-Founder and Creative Director Betül Ünver, who tells the story of Spectra’s birth and the brand’s transformation, sums up how they read the market’s needs in these words: “When I first started in 2020, we were almost at square zero in the European market.
When we entered this market through trade fairs and B2B platforms, our real vision was shaped by the rich product variety and high quality standards there. While we encountered more limited examples of innovation in Türkiye and neighboring regions, I saw how broad, creative and open to development personal care is in Europe.
At that moment, I decided we needed to move away from products with limited shelf value and toward innovative, well-formulated personal care products that make a difference. Spectra’s core vision is built on offering what doesn’t exist yet and developing long-lasting products with a sustainable and consistent approach to quality. The brand’s passion for innovation began precisely with this moment of realization.”
A Female Leader in the Kitchen of R&D: “We Don’t Just Produce, We Break the Mold”
Personally leading the brand’s R&D processes, Ünver emphasizes that Spectra’s greatest strength is its strong and constantly evolving research and development infrastructure: “For me, the essence of the brand lies in creating good ingredients and being innovative. We move forward not only with academic knowledge but by getting into the kitchen of the work, trying and improving formulas again and again.
